These Curly Timber Fireplace Mantels, whether you call the rustic grain pattern curly, fiddle back or tiger striped, I don't know what causes this in redwood. If anyone thinks they know, please share it with me. These grain patterns are beautiful and make good counter tops, tables and mantels as the grain can be easily seen from a distance. The pictured curly mantels on this page are some of the best I have ever cut in the 40 years I have been doing this.

All the rustic timber fireplace mantels pictured here are samples of what we have on-hand. These come in sizes up to 16’ long. Remember, they can be cut smaller if needed. We Can Make Any Mantel Smaller
Some of the pictures make the mantels look out of proportion.
They are not, it is the angle the picture is taken from.

All pictured mantels are unfinished unless marked finished.
Of course we will finish them for a small extra charge if you want us to. Most people have us finish them.

Any of these natural or live edged mantels can be cut
to a straight edge if you would rather have that look.
